Prine`s Barbecue in Wichita Falls

Love this place! Food and service are excellent. That BBQ smoked smell is awesome. Be sure to try the smoked pimento cheese.

Best barbecue I've ever had. The cook is drop-dead gorgeous... I'd go there just to get a glimpse of him.

Stopped by the visitor's center to explore and the guys there recommended this place when I asked them where to get some good BBQ. Totally nondescript plain-looking facade that makes you think maybe you have the wrong place or address...but once inside, the smells overwhelm the senses and you know you have discovered BBQ Utopia.I grabbed a sandwich to go and was in bliss as I ate the delicious brisket, driving through the endless plains.This place rocks!!!

Excellent bbq and sandwiches if your a local .if your traveling thru it's right off the freeway downtown. Give these people a try you'll be glad you did .also I think all there food is to go orders but there is a park nearby also to stop and eat

Prine's has been around since I was a kid and at the time was my favorite BBQ establishment in Wichita Falls. Establishments like these nowadays are becoming too comercialized, offering platters instead of a pound or so of brisket or pork and a pint or more of sides like southern style tater salad or slaw. I got the opportunity to visit Wichita Falls recently for a High School Football game, and I seized the opportunity to visit Prine's BBQ. It lacks in appearance but it more than makes up for it in taste. Prine's still offers what you want and how you like it - ummm-uummm-GOOD!

In Texas BBQ is a way of life!This is a local joint that is to go only but they have some amazing smoked meats! It was my first time to eat here and I wasn't sure what to order. Then 3 people in front of me ordered the smoked bologna sandwich...my mind was set. I also got a side of smoked pimento cheese spread to go! The husband got the chopped BBQ sandwich and I had to sneak a bite. WOW!!! The meats had a perfect smoke to them without losing the flavor of the meat it's self. They were juicy and tender and the barbeque sauce was just enough to enhance the sandwich without drowning it. We will be back! Take a look to make your mouth water! You're welcome! :)But if you are planning on going it is to-go only. They do not have places to sit. We sat outside by the smoker, it was a beautiful day!

My Friend and I got sandwiches. He got sliced beef which was very flavorful and tasty and I got a hot link sandwich. I really enjoyed the hot links, with an emphasis on hot meaning spicy. They fix it, bag it and send it with you. We also purchased a pint of (mashed potato) which was ok with me, but prefer potato salad where you can tell its got potatoes in it, like my mom used to make. Overall, the meats were very tasty and reasonably priced for authentic Texas barbecue from one of the oldest barbecue places in Texas. Be warned, this is not a sit down restaurant.
